Hello
I cant launch Photo-Paint X3 from within corel-X3.
Everytime i try to edit a bitmap, it launches Paint instead of Photo-Paint.
Photo-paint launches ok from the program menu.
I need it to launch from within Corel X3 as I have to edit specific bitmaps in a large file
Help

Open photopaint
Go to tools, options, global, filters, associate
Check off file extension that are to be opened with photo paint, ie. check off bmp
That should cause photo paint to open when trying to edit a bitmap image

I am still having a little problem.

In PhotoPaint, I have checked every extention (including BMP) that I want to edit in PhotoPaint.
Likewise, in X3 I have checked all extentions I want to open in Draw X3.
Now, I can open a BMP image in PhotoPaint from anywhere on the system but from within Draw X3.
When I select a Bitmap in an X3 file and try to edit it, I get an error message saying"
" Failed to create object. Make sure object is entered in the system registry"
I have installed the software on another computer and it seems to work fine there but I have to work from my main computer.

Help again please

At this point, I would reinstall corel suite on the main computer.

I have re-installed X3 a couple of times but the problem still persists

Try this. Open Windows/Control Panel/ Folder Options/File Types. Find BMP (or other bitmap filetypes you want to open with Photopaint,) click Change and then locate Photopaint in the list. That changes the default program to open any file type.
