That's a lot of work! Did you get any turning blanks?

Steve, All the thick stuff is for turnig blanks and there are tons of slab wood that will be cut into blanks also! My truck is full of pieces and parts to get going on! If you stop by at the end of the week I can load you up!

Brian, Most of the black walnut is in 2" to 6" thicknesses and all the slab wood has enough pieces to make about 50 bowls and platters! We still have the biggest log to saw up and it is 24" across and 11' long! We needed some flat stuff for making some great segmented pieces!! Got wood!!!

"You da Man" Jeff. I just had to make a flat joke. Well, it was funny when I said it in my head.;)

One heckuva workout. I'm tired just thinking about all the work involved. It sure looks like it was worth it. Congrats on the haul!

Nice work Jeff. I wish I lived closer to lend a hand and see the beauty of that wood. Good stuff.

Jarrod, Pack your bags and come for a visit! I could keep you busy for a long time sawing and turning! School must be done now so you can really get busy! I have the chunk of eucylptus on the table in the shop and will put the band saw to it today! Finally got a chance to get at it, and it was buried for a month or 2 under other stuff! Take care and turn good!
