Thanks to everyone for the kind birthday wishes. Yesterday was a tough one at work as we moved in about 100 students into our new Residence Hall. Obviously we are still having some problems with the buildings that need to be corrected but it is going very well. We should have all of the buildings full by this Sunday, 476 students. Our building punch list is nearing completion so the workload and the overtime should be decreasing rapidly now and the madness will be over soon. I have enjoyed being the Clerk of the Works (Project Inspector) for this beautiful new residence hall and I am looking forward to my next project which is a huge four story Student Center, we just started the foundation work last week.

The good news is that at the end of the day I had a meeting with the Director of our Performing Arts Center at CNU and it looks like I will be designing and creating the signs for the new facillity. All of the work will be very high-end with lots of engraved glass. This is the kind of job you dream of but the timetable is really tight as the building opens on August 31st with Tony Bennet as the opening act. All of the main lobby work has to be finished by August 30th.

My evening ended with a geat meal and lots of presents from my familly then back out to the shop to engrave a black marble anniversary plaque for a friend of mine. To bad everyday can't be as exciting as yesterday :)
