Well since I finally figured out how to post pics, here are a couple of projects I did for my son. The first is a cherry shelf I built for my son's game room. The second is a butcher block table for his kitchen. The top of the butcher block table was salvaged from an old Dewalt RAS I bought a while back. I don't own a lathe so I bought the legs from Osbourne.

Nice job on both...I was inspired by the shelf design. I think I'm going to use it for a new hat rack for my new SMC hat, along with all the others I seem to be collecting lately

David, Thanks for your comments. The shelf is made similar to a holow core door with 1/4" cherry ply for the skins with solid cherry edging. To hang I just attached cleats to the wall that were sized to fit snuggly inside the shelf then screwed into the cleats thru the top of the shelf with small screws.
