Definitely a Robland as indicated by the name plate and others. Hard to tell if it's an X260, an X310 or an early X31. A quality machine, worth a look if you willing to deal with the intricacies of a euro/combo machine.

I believe recent iterations of these machines are currently sold by Laguna as their X31.

about 10 years ago i almost bought a combo machine like that. it was the Robland x 31. from what previous owners said , it was a piece of crap and took too much time to change over to the different machines so i didnt buy it. how much for that one you got?

I thought we had finally found the mythical Board Stretcher 4000.

That looks like an ergonomic nightmare.

Sean, I didnt get it yet. Its going to be auctioned the end of the month. After some research on here and goggle, i think I'm gonna steer clear unless it goes mega-cheap. Alot of reviews of this thing say its a bear to set up and maintain.
I think Eric hit nail on the head with his "ergonomic nightmare" comment.

Jason,

I'll go against the grain and say that so long as the machine hasn't been "ridden hard and put away wet" it could serve you well. Combination machines are the predominant machine in Europe so, one man's ergonomic nightmare is another's efficient dream. Do some more searches and I think you'll find some good info on this type of machine.

That is a table saw designed by a committee....

And a smart one at that.

I guess that an Altendorf is a saw designed by two committees?

It's a Robland combination machine, the new one's have better features and bells and whistle's, however if that one is functional, it's a good machine.

Regards, Rod.

One would need to figure out what the rust has ruined. The bearing rods for the slider are rusty: Never a good sign.
