Anyone know if a Jacobs Chuck with a #33 Jacobs Arbor is the same geometry as #2 Morse Taper arbor?

No it is not. I bought a #33 Jacobs taper one end #2 Morse taper other end from Grizzly. There catalog has good information in this area specifically the Jacob's Taper

You can also buy this type of chuck already installed on a MT #2...mine was offered by Jet. Keep in mind that if you use it on a lathe in the headstock, you must use a draw bolt through the spindle to keep it snug. If it's used in the tailstock to drill out a project, you don't need the draw bolt, but should be very careful with speed and not force the drill bit into the wood. Let it cut slow and sure and frequently back it out to clear the chips.
