I decided to try Bob Hamilton's bowl from a board. I made mine taller with the idea of making a stand for it. Woods are maple and walnut with a couple coats of tung oil. I didn't get the dove tails lined up very well, :( maybe on the next one. Sorry about the dust.:o All coments welcome.

Looks great to me Mike! Really like the stand! Has a real modern art type of look to it! Nice job on the bowl also! The contrasting colors work well! Very nice work!

Nice job indeed! I love the stand's shape but the double color distracts from the bowl's double side. Somewhat confusing. How about a thick metal wire curled the same as in your wooden support? Bowl is superb.

Had not seen this before. Very impressive. Stand really sets it off.

Nice bowl and stand Mike!
I know how difficult getting the joints to line up can be.
After 10-20 bowls it will get easier... lol

Thanks for all your kind words everyone. I normaly hotglue the ring being added to the stack to a piece of MDF to aid in alignment but didn't on this piece.:o They moved when applying pressure and I didn't notice until it was too late. Shortcuts don't pay.
