This is Norm's New Yankee French Side Table. What a contradiction in terms :D

Hand cut dovetails, maple drawer parts. Couple of firsts for me on this one. First time working with Mahogany and first cabriole legs.

Finish is:

- water based dye
- BLO tinted with dye
- amber shellac
- USL

Great work on this one, but the style isn't my favorite. But, then, Norm has a varied taste for styles, which is what makes him so widely appealing. Nonetheless, good execution.

nicely built and the DT's look real nice however the top overhangs too much for my eye. what do you think?

It sort of bothers me that the overhang is not even all around, but I succumed to Norm's plan since his was a copy of the original. Besides, my wife saw his version and liked it, so I figured better to play it safe :)

I just commented on another posting and see you have posted four projects at once. I have looked at all and will say nicely done on all of them here on this post as I have to get to my shop and am running 30 minutes behind.

Excellent work on all...
