I have a possible coffee table job that requires 3/4 " deep dados in 1 1/2" thick plyboo. This material seems more like lumber core to me. There is so much "inner" grain.
The table is 2 pieces of Plyboo, standing vertical and lap joined in an L shape, so they stand up. Then, horziontal panes of 3/8th in thick glass intersect these 2 vertical Plyboo pieces
So, in the full length dados which are 3/4" deep by 3/8th inch wide sits 3/8th inch glass. The glass running horizontally, Plyboo vertically.
I am worried the Plyboo will just delaminate with the heavy weight of the glass. Some of the glass pieces are 50 pounds.
Anyone have advice or opinions on this?
TIA,
Dolly
