How do you cut diamond shapes out of face grain stock ?

Dennis, here's one way. Rip a board to a given width. Set the miter angle on a chop saw at say 30 degrees (sharper angle will give you more pointed diamonds). Make a miter cut at one end of the board. Clamp a stop block, do a test cut, adjust the stop block until all four sides are equal, then proceed to cut away.
