AFter a couple years of total chaos in the router bit drawer, I came up with this solution.

Holes were cut with a Forstner bit.

The pics are not so hot, taken with an iPhone and I shake a bit.

You can see that i put the micrometer on each bit to get exact diameter.

I used an old uhmw cutting board. not good for labeling like yours, but easy in, easy out.

I screwed a couple of scraps under to lift it off the drawer some.

Pure and simple - does it for me. I have similalr but width of router table. It is a drawer under the open space. I have not taken time to mark them all but I like your system.
Drawer below that stores all the nicely boxed sets.
I have only the orange color bits.
