I will be installing drawer slides on a bathroom vanity. The dimension from the back to the inside of the face frame is 19". The drawer box is 14 1/4". What size slides do I get? I will probably use side mount full extension. This will be my first time installing slides. Is there anything difficult about installing slides? Thanks for your help.

If you want full ext. then I would get 14 inch, I think 16 would be a real over kill.

They're so easy... I can do them. LOL. Make sure the drawer is square and the width is 1" smaller than the opening. I try to use slides that are close to the depth of my drawers. I don't like the look of drawers extended out past the case but there may be situations where that is needed.

Would the 14" slides be long enough to fasten to the back of the vanity or would I have to use a filler block and fasten to the side of the vanity?

It takes 1/2 inch for the slides, so you would have to use a filler on the inside of the cabinet.

I would get close to (but not exceed) your drawer length and buy 14" slides, fastened to the sides or dividers of your cabinet. I recently used these slides (http://wwhardware.com/catalog.cfm/GroupID/Cabinet%20Drawer%20Slides/CatID/Drawer%20Slides%2C%20Full%20Extension%20Ball%20Bea ring/SubCatID/Economy%20Full%20Extension) for my bathroom vanity (http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=111596) and was pleased with the price and quality. But I found they were a little snug with 1/2" clearance, and noticed later they required an additional 1/32" on each side! Even reading the instructions I missed it!
