deer hunting in ohio

Any of you fella's deer hunt around the columbus, ohio area? I'll be moving to columbus for one year from mississippi and have no clue about the hunting there. Ideally i'd like to get into a club but dont see any advertisements. Anyone have any leads on clubs, or private properties available. Or any inner city hunts or public lands nearby? Thanks for any help at all!

OP used to be the Mecca for big deer in Ohio years ago when I hunted.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources also has a lot of good information online about public areas.

Also - so you're aware, if you already aren't, Ohio doesn't allow centerfire rifles. Only black powder, bow, shotgun or pistol.

Hurry up and get up here & clear out some of these "rats with antlers".

There's so many of them, they are a real nusiance. Not only that, but the abundance of deer has also brought in predators, which I for one could do without.
The reports of large cats - which up until recently have all been poo pooed, have increased to the point that they can't be ignored.
Coyote are everywhere also.
Black bear sightings have increased significantly in the last few years too.
