Northwest Haida art is well suited for easy patterns. This was made with scraps of 1/8th inch Black Walnut, Cherry, Maple and Purple Heart set into 1/8th inch baltic birch plywood. About 2 feet tall.

The sheen of that birch piece makes the entire thing look like a giant piece of mother of pearl.
