I was fortunate to have a friend drop of some large sycamore rounds an crotches for me. I have never worked with sycamore before. Will it cut clean? Are there any specific drying procedures specific for the species, or just treat is as one would maple? For hollow forms, dare I let the pith remain in the form?
Thanks

I got some a couple of weekends ago, rough turned some bowls last weekend. I've turned wet wood before but never had any throw as much water as this stuff did, I could almost wring the water out of my shirt. Did turn nicely though. wish I would have got more when I had the chance.
