Here's a Hickory Vessel 11 5/16" tall X 5 1/2" dia.
I't's been air brushed & has a 22k gold leaf rimm, with a gloss finish.
Please comment or critique.

Joe, With the contrast and the color in the grain and the dark interior and gold leaf, I would say it has a lot going for it! The finish looks darn good too! Nice shape, shall I butter you up some more?

Great job,

Jeff

Looks good from here Joe. Nice, smooth curvature, which is easier said than done.

Joe, I really like your vase. The gold leaf and the dark mouth and foot add an elegant look to it. What parts are air brushed, the mouth and foot, or other parts as well? I really like it.

There seems to be no end to the interesting things that talented people can do with wood.

I really hate people with talent........not really.

Am i correct in thinking that you airbrushed the whole thing then sanded, almost like antiquing(sp)?

I can't help pouring a little water into the wine.
Shape, craftsmanship, gold rim, dark foot: all is excellent.
But I don't like that greenish coloured middle section of the vase.
For me it doesn't really go with the colour of the rest, but that's
my personal point of view.

That is drop dead gorgeous!!! How about a little info on how you went about making and coloring?
