I built 4 of these using a variety of woods. This one is Bubinga and Curly Maple. It'll hold around 150 cigars. It weighs in at a whopping 14 lbs. In these pics it doesn't have the seal and I didn't remove the masking tape. These were the last pics I had a chance to take before it went out though. Please enjoy.:D

Another winner!! The bubinga is fantastic, and the contrast with the maple is perfect!

So, how do you get the curly maple to machine that well without tearout?

Nice! I really like those hinges. One of these days I'll attempt to make some wooden hinges...but not today...

Very fantastic!

In the last picture there are drilled holes approx 1/4" deep in each front corner what are these for... the gasket?

How are the fancy finger joints done?

Adam

Thanks very much. The holes are for magnets and the groove all the way around the edge of the cedar is for a gasket. Here's a pic of another humi with it in place.

Bill, Absolutly wonderful, all around. How did you make those two tone joints. I can't fathom how you did it. Wonderful Humidors. Craig

Bill - that is outstanding (as usual). Wood combination is fantastic and that inlay in the top is perfect to bridge the contrast between those two species.
