Hi All,
I have not posted much lately, but I thought I would share some pics I took with my new camera. It is a computer desk that I recently made. I'm not sure if it is mission or an arts & crafts piece so I call it mission art... ;) The piece is a combination of both soild cherry and cherry veneer plywood. I used the cherry plywood for the desk top then edged it in a cherry picture frame. The desk is 54" long by 26" wide and stands 54" tall. The finnish on my desk is boiled linseed oil, then a 2 coats of garnet shellac, followed with a 3 coats of a wipe on poly. I also have a oak table that was my Aunt & Uncles that I am refinishing. Some one thought it would look good painted green. I am going to use that to put my printer on.
Thanks for looking,
Dave

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Greg Tatum Very nice....the finish looks like it feels good to the touch...how is the edging attatched? Good job. The edging was attached with glue and biscuits. I dry clamped all 4 sides and got the fit where I wanted it. I then removed the clamps on one side and glued and reclamped the edging on the two sides of the top and let it set till the glue was cured. Then I glued the other 2 sides leaving the clamps on the sides I glued so nothing nothing would shift and let the glue cure on that side.

…..Looks super, the finish you’ve put on it makes it appear heavier than mission style, very nice finish and very good pics.
