What is the most effective angle to cut a feather board's fingers to? I have seen boards ranging from 0° (right angle to the blade) all the way to up to 75° and anything in between. I personally have my boards cut at 45° and 30°. Or does it make any difference as long as the feather board is snug against the board to be cut?

Alfred - I usually cut my feather boards at about a 40-45 degree angle, but I always put a radius on the board (about a 12" diameter circle). It seems to help a lot on both the infeed and outfeed sides.

Whatever makes life easier.

Have fun with your project.:)

I do mine 30 deg. (right angle to the blade). I don't think I would go past 45 deg. but that's me.
