A sealing question

Does anyone have any knowledge, or thoughts, on using a lacquer vinyl sealer or cab acrylic lacquer in place of AC for sealing end grain? I have about three to four gallons of this that I no longer use and being that I hate throwing anything away, it would be great if it could be used as a sealer. Thanks for your comments. Bear

I assume you are talking about sealing green wood. Anything that will slow the evaporation will work. Some finishes breathe better than others. I don't know how much moisture will pass through the finishes you mention. It might work better than Anchorseal!
