Is it possible to add aniline dye to CLEAR anchorseal and if so what might the formulation be?

I've used analyne dye, and I think it would work fine to color the AS, but the amount would depend on what it was to be used for.
Do you wand to seal the ends of logs with colored AS?

I'm not real versed on wood species when they're dry - so thought by coloring for different species would help me remember what I've got. I'm getting some yellow birch, white birch, black walnut, hickory, cherry, red oak, white oak, black oak and ash.
I made a trade with a sawyer in a neighboring town-pepper mills and pens for the lumber. I will sticker it here at the house and wait a year touse.

When you write the date on the block, add the species.

Like Steve said, you can write anything you need on the end of the block, and when the AS dries, you can read thru it.

Who'da tunk it anywho. I was already doing that with blanks and blocks. Just thought that sitting outside for a year might make the writing disappear. Thanks to all for the insight and direction. By the way... Is it alright for vegetarians to eat animal crackers???
