DW 735 & Spiral head cutter

Has anyone changed out to a SHC for a DeWalt 735? Would like some comments or feedback on doing this. I've been thinking about doing this with mine.

Is it a good idea? I've heard that it turns one of the best portable planers into one serious awesome beast w/ fabulous cuts! I was going to do it myself but believe I may be picking up a 15" jet stationary... so we'll see. Let me know what ya do.

I changed mine out several months ago with minimal problems. The directions I found online were perfect step by step, and it came apart and went together in a little over an hour. The only word of advice I have is get a nice clean workbench, and be careful when removing the screws. I ended up having to drill out 2 of them because they stripped out on me. I'm very happy with the new cutterhead. The planer is now quieter than the DC ...
