Use for scrap veneer

I posted a thread in the Laser Engraver's forum about a technique known as Iris Folding. After I posted I realized that even though typically paper is used, this would be a great use for scrap veneer. If your kids need a project over the summer there are a number of free patterns available.

That's nice of you to say, Jim. I know this is way below the level of expertise all of you woodworkers have, it just seemed like it might be a fun project for kids.
