So has anyone bought a Zing

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has bought a Epilog Zing?
What are your thoughts?
I have read alot about people going to buy one, or have seen the ad's, but did any of them get one?

Honestly i'd only get a zing if my ONLY factor was money and how cheap I could get it. With it you lose the grid tray, can't use a rotary (new Zing24 can I believe), stepper motors, small bed.. by the time you buy the stuff you really need on a practical basis you're at the mini 18 price anyway so why not buy that and get auto focus in addition to all the other stuff?

...so why not buy that [mini] and get auto focus in addition to all the other stuff?I used the autofocus once on my mini. Like many wiser heads before me, I quickly abandoned it. Might be useful in some cases but the liabilities often outweigh the advantages. Manual focus for me!

I was ready to buy a Zing - but I correctly was up sold to a Mini 18... Only had the machine a few weeks, and glad I did!
