Its about fifteen years old and only cost me $323 and a tank and a half of gas to go get it (not to mention the seven hour drive).

17" grizz and has an 8" re-saw capacity and three speed 1-1/2 HP motor.

I've started taking it apart and giving it a tune up. Can't wait to start cutting up some black walnut bowl blanks.

Man I am glad I have the trolly hoist, this thing is heavy at over 300#. No way I could have unloaded it myself.

Yeah I have the guard for the pulley. It made the ride home on the passenger side floorboard of the truck. I think I will upgrade the guides with roller bearings and get a good blade for it right off.

I was shopping around and was ready to drop six or eight hunnerd for a new 14" machine with 12" re-saw but I think 8" will do just fine.

If you havent seen it Steve ya havent spent much time in the turners forum lately;) I started a thread about two months ago and have posted progress pics of the build.
I should be spinning wood in a few weeks. (Some nice black walnut burl kinda wood;))

Yeah, I am pleased with the bandsaw, it will fit the bill and it was affordable. Thanks

Got one like that and that beast is heavy. The stand is a little light duty for the weight. It's the only bandsaw I ever used and I sure use it a lot. Those TW blades really help.

Reduce reuse recycle.
I love giving old machinery a new home.
Congrats on the "new" band saw, looks nice.

You caught me Mark. I haven't visited the turning forum in too long. Spring field work is seriously cutting into my SMC time! I'll go search...

You will get a alot of use out of that espically with the mustard you have. I use my band saw all the time now not sure what I use to do with out it.

The berring guides are nice also call timberwolf or someone that knows about blades. You will probably wnat to get 3-4 different blades and a spaire 1" general purpose. Blades to cut wet wood are dofferent than blades to cut dry wood. Depends what you are going to use it for.

Concrete bowl lathe! I wonder how that slipped under the radar! That is one awsome project you have going on there.
