Just got home from the Big Blue Home Center. I went looking for some of that Delta stuff. All they really had was the 12" CMS for $229. What a deal but I just don't need to blow the budget on that right now. While I was on line to checkoutand what did my beady little eyes see? A blue box on the clearance table. A sweet little Makita 3606 1hp router. I've been looking to get a little guy for breaking edges and such but never want to spend the dough. My first choice would have been the little Porter Cable But this was $49.00 marked down from$99.00. Now I feel complete...until the next deal comes along. :D

You guys are killing me with this stuff!!! I have $125 of Lowe's gift cards. When I went to my local store, there wasn't anything there worth buying.

My teeth hurt from all the grinding....

OK, that's it, I'm going in the morning, I need another router for deck work and such and that one would fill the bill just fine....$49 makes the wallet happy too....hope I can find one!

I was wandering through Lowes this past Friday and found the Makita 1101 two base kit (var speed, soft start, fixed/plunge bases, x-tra base plate) for 132.19. Have seen it around the web for 249.00 Somehow it follwed me home.

Well, call me the pied piper, George, two of these router kits followed me home (one a $75 demo), along with a Makita LS1221 CMS ($209), and a demo-unit DW052 Impact driver for $50 (this last one absolutely rocks, my drills are turning green with envy!).

A 22-580 planer came for a visit, but SWMBO and my 13" Ridgid planer protested, so I took it back.

At the price they are getting for that planer you could have put it on EBAY and made some money on it.

I thought about that John, but you've heard the expression "If it was easy, everyone would be doing it"? Well, it looks like an easy profit, and everyone is doing it. I checked Ebay Friday evening, 1 22-580 planer listed by Toolking (a regular tool seller) for $379. By noon Saturday, 8 had shown up, obviously all from Lowes, and no one bidding on them.
