Where do you get Red Birch Veneer?

Will be doing a kitchen rebuild and the Boss has decided that Red Birch is the Cat's PJs. Have source for solid lumber for doors/drawer-fronts, but not veneer for the cabinet ends.

No Thanks, I'd really rather not resaw 10' stock.

Thanks

Hmm. My usual veneer suppliers don't seem to have it. However, if you can use paper-backed sheets, www.cshardware.com and www.macbeath.com have it in 4'x8' sheets. The paper-backed stuff is only 10 mils thick, so don't do a lot of sanding on it.

You might also look for 1/8 plywood or door skins in red birch.

I would call Certainly Wood. They carry a good supply of all types of veneer.

Hey Mark, While you are at it, check out 'flame' yellow birch. Very pretty stuff. You might want to do this on the sly because if the little woman sees this it might cost ya. :D
