Well its been long enough that I have gone without posting a piece of my work so here is one.
Done on an older Delta/Rockwell 12" lathe.

Spalted Jacaranda from a tree in my yard trimmed a huge branch about 1-1/2 year ago.
5" tall x 6" wide finished with spar urathane.

and the other is about 250 pounds

I used my very special fillet gouge.

You keep the shavings and toss whats left on the lathe.

Just so everyone knows the big fishes always get sent back home.
Unless we are in a tournament we do not even tag them. Take the hook out revive them and let them go.
In 6 years I have only kept one marlin because it died before we got it in.

Nice fish, Pete. I caught my first (and only) Sail in Cabo last year. We had a Marlin on but lost it. That Ono looks a lot like a Kingfish or maybe a Whaoo?

It is a Wahoo only we call them Ono.
Ono in Hawaiian means "good" or "delicious". They are right on that account!
