Other lumber to complement red oak flooring?

We have a fairly large amount of red oak in our home, we have carpet in our living room that touches the read oak going into the kitchen, a large 14foot section.

What other wood type would complement red oak for this flooring purpose? Cherry, white oak w/ natural, probably not walnut, maple? Anyone seen or done anything like this? Not finding much on this online.

i used jatoba for my kitchen cabinets with all oak floors works nice
