The Freedom Pens Project is an organized operation (to the extent we can make it that way).

Certain guidlines had to be established such as:

Purchasing kits through the bulk buy program (http://www.oldrebelworkshop.com/bulkbuy.htm)

Obtaining kits through the free kit program (http://www.oldrebelworkshop.com/freekits.htm)

How completed pens need to be packaged (http://www.freedompens.org/)

Where completed pens need to be shipped (http://www.freedompens.org/)

Where donations should be submitted (http://www.oldrebelworkshop.com/donations.htm)

These guidelines have been documented in numerous forum threads and on the web site locations listed above and available for all to read. Activities conducted outside of these guidelines can not only be damaging to the effort but require a lot of valuable volunteeer time to clarify/rectify. If you have questions about any of the established guidelines it is a simple matter of asking in advance before acting.

In addition, posting information on this forum you believe to be accurate, and isn't, can also be damaging to the effort and require a lot of valuable time to clarify/rectify. If you are not positive that information you receive is 100% accurate please inquire via e-mail to Keith or myself prior to posting that information on the forum. Some folks read the erronous information and miss seeing replies which clarify it. It is best to make sure any infomation posted is completely accurate.

We are progressing towards not only matching our stated goal of 20,000 pens this year but exceding that goal. Project activities are at an all time high and increasing daily. Therefore, valuable time taken to correct/clarify guideline deviations and misinformation can be used much more constructively on other project activites.

I personally want to thank all of the participants, supporters, and contributors for their efforts in making this project a huge success. We are defintely on the way to making that a reality.
