Here's a little 10" platter made from yellow heart and purple heart.

I can't wait to get a bigger lathe so I can make bigger platters.

Comments and critiques are always welcome.

Excellent piece; I've always been fascinated by that design, and what it symbolizes. Not unlike woodturning - design/art, science/craft, time-consuming/expensive (the last one doesn't really apply, I just felt like I needed 3 examples:D). Mike

Very nice work. How long did it take you to make it?

Beautiful platter John. I like the symmetry and how well the woods work together.
