I whipped these out today as the LOML has been awaiting a start to finish project off my new lathe. These were made from some 4"x4"x2 1/2" cedar blocks I bought on the bay. I just wiped them with BLO and called it good. Glass inserts from China-Mart.
I also roughed out a 14" x 9" bowl from an oak burl today. I got it soaking so I'll post pics when finished. Man is that burl wood heavy and dense. I'm still learning to use the Thompson bowl gouges. I was using a round nose scraper to clean it up my defects, had a catch and the scraper went flying. Broke off at the tang.

John, The little lites are great! I need to make some one day too! I have lots of small chunks of pretty wood that will work great for them!

Nice work,

Jeff
