byrd head on powermatic model 15 planer

Hey all,

Installing a byrd head on my planer (powermatic model 15 # 1791209) and wanted to know if any of you have this planer and put the byrd head on it? If so any advice ?

I have the 15HH and while I didn't install the Byrd head, I can tell you that once you get it installed, you are going to love it. The only advice I have is to write down where you put the extra bits and their wrench. I have been using the first set of cutting edges for two years now with no sign of them going dull or in any way losing performance. the Byrd head truely is one of the more remarkable tools I have come across in woodworking.

Yea I put it on my jointer so I am familiar with how well it performs...I am more looking for pointers on installing it in this planer, but ty for your response.
