Help with AI cs4 for Mac

I am having trouble cutting with my stika sv-15. I scale down the image to the specifications that I want, but I can't get the cutter to center it's cutting. I'm always off by about an inch. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this? I need a quick fix seeing as I have 20 real estate signs to do before Sunday.

Is there type and is it converted to outlines?

What is your document size in relation to your output size?

Are you sending direct from illustrator or using a cuter RIP?
