Hello,

The hose that came with my compressor is 1/4 inch diameter. Is that the recommended size for use with brad and finish nailers, or should it be 3/8, or does it matter, or is this a dumb question?

Thanks,
Louis

1/4 is plenty for brad nailers. I use 1/4 for 16D nails and roofing guns.

As they used to say back in grade school...no such thing as a dumb question.

Dave is right though. You'll be fine with that hose.

For brad and finish nailers it's fine. For flooring nailers you may want something a bit bigger.

Keep in mind that larger ID hose will store more air.<-- a good thing.

W/longer runs of 3/8" ID hose you'll want to add another regulator at the end and before the gun.
