I have to admit I have no idear what I need here. I have a steel city drill press and the chuck is a nucience, Can I put a keyless one on there and where whould I get a good one? I seem to remember a MT maybe a #2 on the chuck when I put it together.

You will need to know the taper. I put one on my newer Delta and love it. Never had it slip and that includes 2-3/8" Forstners in red oak. These are nice: http://www.albrechtchucks.com/ (http://www.albrechtchucks.com/chuck_template.cfm?&product=yes&subheader=category_classilock_keyless_drill_chucks&chuck_category_id=4)
and Grizzly has some too: http://www.amazon.com/Grizzly-G8581-Keyless-Drill-Chuck/dp/B0000DCYZ5

Jason, Iturra Designs also sells keyless chucks, you may want to call him and ask what you need - he should be able to walk you through the issues - basically what kind of stem do you need so that it will mount on your drill press. His price is pretty good, I got one from him and it is pretty nice. You can find his number by searching Sawmill forum posts- he doesn't have a website, but he will answer the phone.

If you are looking for real precision, Albrecht is the way to go. I bought on in 1985 and have done a lot of drilling in metal at work. It still runs dead true (.0001") and works flawlessly.

Jason,
The #2 Morse taper will be the taper that goes into the drill press, the chuck will have a different taper that goes into the bottom of it. Depending on the brand of chuck you purchase the chuck taper can vary. I was happy with a keyed Craftsman Commercial chuck. I have not installed a key less chuck on a drill press but I do know that you want to make sure of the taper of the drill press prior to buying a new chuck. Enco or Grainger are a couple of places you can get a chuck. The prices will vary a lot from dealer to dealer. I don't know if the Borgs carry replacement chucks for drill presses but most carry chucks for hand drills.
