Has anyone made a bridge on the laser with acrylic or balsa wood? If so is there a design file that i could look at. I teach at a middle school and i am looking for ideas for my kids to draft and then cut on the laser. if anyone has more ideas i would love to hear them. (just remember middle school age)

Thanks

Welcome to SMC. Are you saying your middle school has a laser?

I was born too early.

I haven't seen anybody post a bridge but there have been several Eiffel Towers posted.

Stephen,
I got the plan from the link listed by Mike above. Its just for display. It took a little over 2hrs to cut all the parts.

I went to the Site listed above and am interested in a few plan sets. Did you get them in a digital format or have to retrace the plans.

Hi

This one is from www.finescrollsawcom. I have done almost all of the projects there. The bridge took a couple hours to cut and assemble. Finishing is another story. Lots of coats of lacquer. You have to request the files in digital format. Save yourself a lot of grief and ask for them in .eps format. The dxf files don't work well in coreldraw.
