I recently bought a Vicmarc chuck. One thing I love is the hex key. I have 2 Talons and a Stronghold. I don't care for the keys because they take a bit of jiggling to engage and even then I sometimes "miss."
With the hex key, it goes in easily and it doesn't miss or slip.
So, is it possible to convert my Oneway chucks to a hex key?

Can't imagine it would be easy, and if it's not easy it can't be cheap and thus probably not worth it. Maybe not though.

that is why I bought the super nova. I liked everything about the Oneway except the key.

I am a relatively new turner so take my opinion for what it's worth. I have a OW talon and I don't think there is anything wrong with the key. I have no trouble with it.

Mike,
I had a lot of trouble with the G3 that came with the Nova 1624. I couldn't get used to the "Lefty Lucie Don't Open for Chuck." That's why I ended up with 2 Talons and 1 Stronghold. Now, my brain can't engage them with that key. When I picked up the hex key for the Vicmarc, I knew I was in heaven.
Probably will begin to have problems with that in a little while. Such is life...
