I have an Excalibur sliding table on my table saw. I removed the left table wing before installing the sliding table. I am reworking some things in the shop & was wondering about putting the left wing back on the saw & then mounting the sliding table to it. I have seen posts about others thinking about doing this.

For those that mounted the Excalibur or Exaktor sliding table to the left wing, have you had any problems with this setup?
Thank you.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing. Other than drilling some holes in cast iron and having the fence pivot point and support further from the blade, I can't think of any reason this wouldn't work just fine. Another issue and maybe the reason most don't do this is it takes up that much more room in the shop.

I did it that way for years on my old saw. It worked fine. Finally I cut down the fence and mounted it the right way. Worked fine too.

Thank you for the replies.

The new wing I have is drilled on both edges, so I do not have to drill it.
I am going to give it a try.
