View Full Version : Spalted Cedar Elm Bowl

Even though I kept reading the turning forum, I took a break from turning for a while. I think the push to keep stock for the craft shows I did last year sorta led to turning burnout.

But, I could only stay away so long and got back in the saddle a couple of days ago. This is a Cedar Elm bowl that I had roughed out a few months back. There's nothing special about it, just some pretty wood. About 9" diameter and finished with spray Shellac.

Cody - beautiful bowl! Great form and I really like the slant to the rim! Love the spalt pattern! Sometimes a break is all you need to get the creative juices flowing again! Nice work! Hope to be seeing more real soon!
