i have seen alot of abreviations on this site and dont understand most of them. is there an index?

I'm not aware of an index but if you list some, someone will probably tell you what they mean. Such as:
HF - hollow form or Harbor Freight, depending on context
BLO - boiled linseed oil
DNA - denatured alcohol
NE - natural edge
BORG - big, orange, retail giant
DAMHIKT - don't ask me how I know this
Just ask about the ones you don't know. Hope this helps.
