I use photobucket. It is free and the you just copy the image link and paste.

Jason, no need for an outboard picture hosting service here at the Creek. Just use the manage attachments button below where you type the message in, and you can add pictures from there. The nice thing about that is that the pictures will always be here for future reference. If you change where you store pictures on line, they would disappear from the Creeks site. Jim.

edit: Here is the tutorial Aaron posted a while back. http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=25115

SMC prefers that you upload your photos here. We are actually considering disallowing linking because of some security issues that have recently come into play as well as to insure that content is here for folks to enjoy in the future. Instructions for uploading and displaying photos is available in a sticky thread at the top of the Forum Technical Support Forum.

Jason, in my years using the Internet to store photos I've seen many sites come and go. I had dozen's of photos stored on one site for many years and suddenly all of them were gone. Fortunately I had them stored on a hard drive as well.

As Dennis and Jim said, uploading them to SMC is easy and preferable. One thing that I've discovered, however, is that the same picture can not be used in more than one post or at least I can't figure out how to do it. I've even tried to change the name of the picture.

Don....you can resize the photo and repost it. I've done it and only changed the X axis by say 20.....Not enough to effect the image quality....just enough to say it's changed.

You don't have to repost the picture if you'd rather not increase the storage load on the SMC servers. You can link to an attachment that you've already uploaded for another post:
http://www.sawmillcreek.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=113533&d=1237492250

Or you can insert it as an image directly in the post (not sure this saves any storage space:

Or you could link to the post for with it was originally uploaded:

Or you can open that post, and cut and paste the thumbnail into the new post:
