Tonight Amanda (our 10 year old daughter) and Michael (our 9 year old son) did a demonstration at their 4-H club meeting. They showed how to make pens and talked about the Freedom Pen Project. They passed around a poster that had been posted here a couple of months ago, a picture that we had printed from a Marine Unit in Iraq with a thank you note printed on it, and three E-Mails that we have received from people who have received Freedom Pens from us.
The kids did a wonderful job of showing all of the steps involved in making a pen, describing the project, and answering a bunch of questions (mostly from the adults). We got a preliminary request to do a demonstration for the ladies group at a local church.
At the end of the meeting, the club voted to make a nice cash donation to the project. I will mail it in tomorrow morning.
Thanks to Amanda and Michael for doing the demonstration and to Roslyn Rangers 4-H club for the nice donation.
