Anyone know about the new Jet 18 inch bandsaw? Looks pretty nice, lots of good features. IS it better than the previous models? The Steel City and the Rikon look similar to the JET t o me.

The new Jet is the only bandsaw with a triangular backbone which is suppose to be more ridgid then the old square one. That's all I got.:D

I got the new JET 18" bandsaw (with triangular column) about 1 1/2 years ago and am very happy with it. I never would have thought that having 2 HP (220V) in a bandsaw would be so useful but it is. It certainly fears no resaw job! I have a full review of this machine with photos and video at the link below that covers it features way better than I can here if that would help.
