I have seen a good selection at the local woodcrafts. If you have a bandsaw you could also make your own.

Angus

George Perzel has some very good 1/8" hardwoods. I've ordered 3 or 4 times from him.

You should be able to find 1/4 inch (un-sanded) on eBay for good prices if you know what you're looking for. The 1/8, 1/16 and smaller thin hardwoods are a bit harder to find. They are usually only 3-5 inches wide.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned the scroll saw suppliers. D&D woodcrafts, Sloan's Woodshop for example.

I just made and received a small order from sloan's woodshop and was impressed. They had what I wanted at decent prices and reasonable shipping. The cherry and mahogany showed up flat but the cherry was a little under 5" wide but they note that it can be +/- 1/8". Overall I was happy for being my first order. Now if I could learn corel. By the way I am not affiliated with Sloans. Good luck
