I'm replaceing the wood veneer (1/8") that was put on this motor home by the previous owner. I have been looking at the paper-backed veneer from Veneer Supplies but I'm wondering if anyone has used this inan exterior application and what sucess they had. Any special glues or process' needed? I plan on using Automotive clear urethane over the panels. There are 6 4x8 panels to replace.

I'm watching this one. I just have no idea how to apply veneer over such a large area exposed to the elements. How long did the current surface last? Was it wood or another material painted as wood?

For this one I would go to Darryl Keill at Vacuum Pressing Systems.

Is it really 1/8" veneer, not door skin? Door skin is 1/8"-thick plywood, and is readily available in good lumberyards. 1/8" solid wood would be a custom-milling job.

Now that's what I call a Woodie.

Can it be refinished?

Can it be refinished?
My thought, also. It'd be a lot easier to strip the existing finish and re-do it than to replace the wood.
