Urethane and Polyurethane

I used a couple coats of polyurethane on my current project but I ran out of it. I have a gallon of urethane and I was wondering if I can apply a couple more coats on top of polyurethane?

Does anybody know if those finishes are compatible?
Any drawbacks? Long term issues
(The wood is cherry. No other finishes/stains were applied.)

Urethane and polyurethane is the same stuff as long as both are either oil based or waterbased.
