Maching Birch

When i was talking with Steve from Wall lumber i mentioned i planned on machining the birch to near final size, letting it sit for a week or 3 and then final maching to size. He said birch cups and bows alot and suggested i should machine it to final size and finish ASAP.

Anyone have any thoughts on this???

I am sure things like ---room temp--amount of light---moisture content are also factors-- how you leave it laying--all this would play into it.
