Good Afternoon,

What are people doing with the fence that comes with the contractor saw if you upgrade? Will it fit any other machine? Mine is still in the box.

Most fences are easily modifiable to any standard 27" saw. Unless there's some unique proprietary design to that fence, it should fit other saws.
