i turned a few vases and the thing i noticed is that you can only see 1 side of the vase at a time. also, they are always getting knocked over. this was my solution. a 3/4" hole was drilled in the center prior to cutting it in half so air plants or dried arrangements can be inserted. hanging on the wall looks great and keeps them from getting knocked over

Very interesting variation on a vase! Would make for some real nice decorations! Pretty cool idea!

Jim, The concept is nice! I think they could be a seller, as pairs of things go well to designers and other art loving people. The color combo is perfect it really makes the wood pop from the tile!

thanks for the input. i have 3 other vases that i cut in half a couple of years ago and they have been sitting in a box since. time to break them out and finish them
